About
A brief summary of my life and a passion for photography. I was born a Yorkshire lad in a village called Thorner near Leeds, I now live in north Leeds and consider myself lucky to be so close to some of the best countryside in the UK. My early interests were in motor sport, particularly rallying and that's probably where the initial interest in photography was spawned. Apart from a few rolls of Kodachrome, I shot mainly in black and white using a Minolta, printing them myself in a small home darkroom. The interest in photography took a back seat for a number of years as our family grew, then the introduction of Canon's first digital SLR inspired me to start over again. I have recently been successful in completing a diploma with The Photography Institute which provided me with both skills and the knowledge to pursue photography on a more professional level. Apart from sport I like exploring photography art and enjoy manipulating images to perhaps display different textures and moods on everyday objects and vistas. I hope you enjoy viewing my work and thank you for taking the time to check out my site. Brian Hopps |
